After last week's price drops, the cumin market has now stabilised again and recorded slight increases. The lack of local and international demand is causing some Indian traders to resort to drastic measures: they are spreading the news that farmers who started sowing early are not seeing good growth of the plants, so that the crop is expected to fall short of expectations.
