NEW DELHI/OTTAWA. While stocks are running low on the Indian market, Canadian market players are worried about the development of the new crop. Meanwhile, Germany has increased its imports.

Prices rise in India

The shortage of stocks on the Indian market is causing export prices to rise further. As a result, there is hardly any trade at the moment; however, this is likely to be short-lived as the crop outlook has deteriorated. This is especially true in other growing countries such as Turkey and Syria, where heavy precipitation has damaged crops. India also experienced severe rainfalls, but so far a good crop is still expected here.
